RECENT CAREER ACHIEVEMENTS:

PIONEER HUMAN CAPACITY DEVELOPMENT MANAGER, Utanbech Missions Int’l- December 1992 – till date

– Richards has pioneered a Missions Agency,  planted pockets of churches in villages where none had existed and raised natives trained to provide pastoral care over their own tribal groups.

– Successfully pioneered and led an advocacy group that seeks to stop the practice of selling the girl-child into a slave-marriage called ‘Money Marriage’.

– Developed plans and programs for negotiation, funding and releasing of the girl-child sold into marriage at a tender age

– Actively contributed to the successful achievement of scholarships- for rescued girl-child and indigent children in Utanga and Becheve.

– Developed a train-the-trainer (TTT) program for natives enabling technical experts to transfer knowledge as trainers for project training

Richards leads a growing team of over 20 men and women on his staff list. Some of them encountered Jesus Christ in their early years through Richards’ missionary thrust in their communities. Most of them have been trained and equipped to carry on missions work in their communities. Other volunteer-staff members are graduates:

Joshua and Adesola Alade – Lecturers at the Federal College of Education, Obudu.

Family Life: Richards is married to Grace, with whom he has spent over 25 years of ministry among the Utanga and Becheve tribes. They are blessed with 3 biological Children- Glorypraise, Preach and Chinonso.
